That Joke Isn't Funny Anymore...

Some good news over the past week then:

Firstly, the proposed demolition for the CPH Thurmaston building on Upperton Road:
Planning application 20111143 (Jamie Lewis application for demolition of CPH Thurmaston)

The above application has been withdrawn as it cannot now be determined following the imposition of the Article 4 Direction on the property removing the permitted development rights for demolition. Any developer would now have to apply for full planning permission to demolish the building be it on its own or as part of a larger redevelopment proposal.
State of execution perhaps, but good news all the same. It does look like they've had their paintbrushes and craft kits out again at CPH though...no, sadly not to tidy it up but it seems to be looking worse with more black paint etc and they appear to have painted the boarding up at some of the widows.
Moving next door...

Councillors at the City Planning meeting last Tuesday rejected the application for the illuminated signage on the recently opened Code building on Upperton Road.
Meanwhile, down the road...

Great news for the residents of Westcotes Drive, hopefully.
